How to Report an Error

Please include:
The title or URL of the article.
The statement, instruction, specification, or recommendation you believe is incorrect.
An explanation of the concern.
A manufacturer document, official source, safety standard, or other reliable supporting source, when available.
Providing specific information helps us investigate the concern more effectively.
How Corrections Are Reviewed
Reported concerns are evaluated by A.D. Campbell, the writer and publisher of Grit Gear Grind. The original sources, current manufacturer information, and relevant safety guidance may be reviewed before deciding whether a correction is necessary.
A difference in personal preference does not automatically make a tool or product recommendation inaccurate. However, verifiable errors involving specifications, compatibility, measurements, operating instructions, safety guidance, or other factual claims will be corrected when confirmed.
Safety-related concerns receive particular attention.
Corrections, Clarifications, and Updates
When a meaningful factual or safety-related error is confirmed, the article will be corrected. A correction note may be added when the original error could have affected a purchasing decision, project result, equipment compatibility, or reader safety.
Smaller changes—such as fixing spelling, grammar, formatting, or a broken link—may be made without a correction note when they do not change the article’s meaning.
Product specifications, prices, availability, manufacturer instructions, regulations, and safety standards can change. Revisions made to reflect newer information are considered updates rather than corrections unless the original information was inaccurate when published.
Content Removal
Complete removal of an article is reserved for unusual circumstances, such as a serious accuracy, copyright, privacy, legal, or safety concern that cannot be resolved through an ordinary correction.
Republished or Distributed Content
If corrected content has been republished or distributed through another platform, we may take reasonable steps to update or notify that platform. The timing and presentation of corrections on third-party services may be outside our control.
Our Commitment
Correction requests are considered in good faith, but submitting a request does not guarantee that a change will be made. Our goal is to correct genuine mistakes, address safety concerns responsibly, and provide readers with information they can use without pretending that tools, products, or projects never change.
